Frequently Asked Questions

In ABA, there are 45-50 active members each semester and UC Berkeley's largest Alumni network!
The people who join ABA are hungry to learn, personable, process-driven, and align with our mission and core values.
Each project team includes six analysts, two project managers, and an officer mentor.
Founded in 1975, ABA was originally known as Asian Business Association. Its purpose was to uplift marginalized Asian Americans in the business community. In 2012, we rebranded to Berkeley ABA to become more racially inclusive and to welcome applicants of all races and ethnicities. Today, the ABA in Berkeley ABA is no longer an acryonym that stands for anything, but rather a symbol of our longetivity and expansive community.
Because we aren't able to accept everyone because of the sheer number of applicants, we primarily look for two few things:
1. You're passionate about what you do, and you embody our core values.
2. You're willing to learn and grow with your fellow Analysts and Project Managers.
Absolutely not! You'll be taught everything that you need to well within your designated team. If you do have prior experiences, that is always a bonus.
The interview process will include a behavioral interview as well as a group case interview. There isn't a recommended way to prepare, but we look for analysts with strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
